I am a machine learning leader with 15+ years of experience spanning chip design, embedded AI, and modern deep learning and agentic AI systems. I started my career in neuromorphic research (spiking neurons, event-based sensing, low-power analog circuits), earning a Ph.D. from the University of Florida's Computational NeuroEngineering Laboratory.
From there, I spent nearly seven years at Qualcomm as an early pioneer of on-device AI, contributing to some of the mobile industry's first biologically inspired ML hardware and shipping ML-driven optimizations across hundreds of millions of Snapdragon-powered devices. I then led AI research at HP Labs' CTO Office, directing a joint international research program on model compression and speech-based recognition.
At Apple, I spent four years as an engineering manager building on-device ML, including quantization, compression, and hardware-aware neural architecture search, for products such as Apple Watch, AirPods, and Apple Vision Pro. Today I lead machine learning for Input & Interaction at Meta's Reality Labs, where I support the team behind hand tracking, controllers, gestures across Quest and Ray-Ban Smart Glasses, and I am building agentic AI tooling and safety infrastructure for AI-assisted software development.
What ties this together is a career that runs from silicon to modern AI, from ASIC verification and neuromorphic chip design to today's large-scale deep learning and agentic systems. It is a combination I do not see very often, and it is the lens I bring to every ML organization I have built.
